Printmaking

Introductory information

In the printing workshops, students learn the basics of intaglio printing (e.g. etching), Relief printing (e.g. woodcut and linocut, material printing) and serigraphs (screen printing). Two professionally equipped laboratories and workstations are available for this purpose. The experience of the respective material resistance plays a major role in the various techniques. In addition to practical instruction, the current art context and the historical origins of the respective technique are reflected upon.
