Media arts Dieter Kiessling
Class of Prof. Dieter Kiessling
The development of new electronic media has constantly expanded the spectrum of artistic representation and expression. Art that is produced with new analog and digital media or that thematizes them plays a major role in the field of contemporary fine art. For more and more artists, it is also a matter of course to use different new and traditional media simultaneously and, where appropriate, to combine them. The influences of newer analog and digital media on production in the field of fine art are dealt with intensively in my courses. In the media art class, students are encouraged to develop independent artistic positions and to put them up for permanent discussion in group discussions and Colloquiums.
In addition, guest lectures, exhibitions, interdisciplinary projects and study trips are organized as part of the media art class.
