Deer you, deer me hinterfragt die vermeintliche Krone der Schöpfung und blickt auf tragische evolutionäre Überausstattungen. Die Ausstellung übersetzt dieses Paradoxon in ein dichtes Gefüge aus Bewegung und Starre. Im Zentrum steht der Hirsch: das Geweih als Krone, die weit über das Maß des Tragbaren hinauswächst und ihren Träger zugleich schmückt und belastet. Read more

The Kunsthochschule Mainz is strong in two areas. First, it has retained the diploma program for its artistic disciplines. Second, it has a close dialogue between the theoretical disciplines of art education (kunstdidaktik) and visual theory/art theory (kunstbezogene theorie), for which it has the right to award doctoral degrees, and the artistic classes. This reflects the vibrant relationship between theory and practice that is unique to an art academy.
