Alongside studio-based class study, seven specialised workshops provide students with extensive knowledge of materials and media, traditional craft skills, and contemporary artistic and technical processes. Led by experienced workshop supervisors, they cover a broad spectrum – from traditional craft techniques to digital production processes – and are open to all students at the art school.

Semester-long courses and focused workshops introduce the technical and conceptual foundations of each discipline, which are then developed further in more advanced formats. Participation in introductory courses is in some cases a prerequisite for independent use of the workshops.

Each workshop combines technical instruction with the opportunity to realise individual artistic projects, supported by technical supervision and personal consultation. The workshops are closely integrated into the study programme and can be used for independent artistic work, interdisciplinary projects, and selected courses. They serve as an interface between craft knowledge, material-based research, and contemporary artistic practice.
