Basic studies (1st–4th semester)
- First and second semester: artistic work in the basic class.
From the third semester onwards, artistic work is carried out in the studios of the classes, which are led by art college teachers, and in the central workshops of the art college under the technical guidance and supervision of the workshop managers. Students must also participate in compulsory theoretical courses in art history, as well as other art-related courses. The basic study programme concludes with the intermediate diploma.
Main study programme (5th–9th semester)
- The course of study is based on the student’s personal artistic development, which is determined and characterised individually. Students will develop their artistic goals and direction through acquiring specific techniques and productive self-expression, engaging critically with the artistic self-image and formal language of their class teacher and peers, and engaging with the artistic output of other classes and, more broadly, the contemporary art scene and its historical context. Due to the personalised nature of artistic teaching, it is not possible to provide any further (generalised) information about the curriculum. The main course of study concludes with either a diploma after the 9th semester or a certificate of study after the 8th semester.
