    Pamela Sneed – Poetry Arts Workshop
    June 25th and 26th // 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

    The workshop examines the work of several contemporary poets and artists of color, reflecting issues pertaining to pandemics, police violence, race, class, gender, lgbtqi issues, and diaspora. We will also look at poetry in relationship to visual art. Students will participate in some guided writing exercises /and have opportunities to discuss and share their work.     Pamela Sneed is a New York-based poet, writer, performer and artist.
    She is author of Imagine Being More Afraid of Freedom than Slavery, KONG and Other Works and a chaplet, “Black Panther” by Belladonna. Her upcoming project A tribute to Big Mama Thornton will premiere at Triangle Arts, Brooklyn later this year, and a new book of poetry and prose titled Funeral Diva will be published by City Lights, San Francisco.
